HTC “working on second-gen Re camera”![]() December 4, 2014 - 14:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - HTC is allegedly working on a second-generation version of its Re camera. Taiwanese media sources have quoted the firm's North Asia president Jack Tong as saying that the new snapper will debut in 2015, Digital Spy reports citing Engadget. The Re is a standalone camera that is shaped like a periscope, capable of shooting 16-megapixel photographs and recording Full HD video to a microSD card. A synced smartphone serves as the Re's screen via a companion app for iOS and Android devices. News of a successor to the Re comes shortly after the arrival of the original device in US stores, but it is yet to make it to the UK market. The Re is priced at $200 in North America.
