Phil Collins cancels 1st solo performance in 4 years over illness

PanARMENIAN.Net - Phil Collins had disappointingly canceled his first solo performance in four years. The "Against All Odds" crooner was down with illness, forcing him to scrap off the plan to perform at a fundraiser gala benefiting his Little Dreams Foundation on Saturday, Dec 6.

As AceShowbiz reported citing Miami.com, Collins was having "some sort of neurological affliction" that he had been dealing with for at least a few days. The site also said that he came to the event at the end of the evening to greet fans. He thanked them for their support and apologized for the cancellation. "Trust me, you wouldn't enjoy it," he told the crowd after revealing that the rehearsal did not sound good due to his illness.

Collins was never scheduled to have a full concert at the event and was only due to sing a few songs. "I will be performing three or four songs semi-acoustically, and maybe one more with my 13-year-old son Nicolas on drums, but that's all as I am not ready to return to the full concert stage at this time," he said in late September.

Nick went on with the plan, performing a five-minute dueling drum solo with another kid. Other acts include Richard Marx and Italian singer Laura Pausini.
