Nokia releases Here Maps app on Google Play StoreDecember 11, 2014 - 12:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Nokia has released its Here Maps app on the Google Play Store, Digital Spy said. The free navigation app was made available to Samsung devices on Android initially in October, before December 10 wider rollout. Aimed at rivalling Google Maps, the service remains in beta and will work on Android devices running 4.1 and higher. As well as voice navigation, the app provides interactive maps for more than 100 countries and real-time traffic and road closure information in some 40 countries. Nokia has also revealed that it is currently working on an iOS version which it hopes to release in early 2015. The move comes after the original app was pulled in late 2013 due to incompatibility issues with iOS 7 and plans for an Android app were put on hold.
