Some Armenian citizens to become eligible for 10-year U.S. visa

PanARMENIAN.Net - The government of Armenia will lift visa requirements for U.S. citizens starting from January 1, 2015. According to Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, the resolution was confirmed by paragraph 28 of the Action Plan inked at the Armenian-American Intergovernmental Commission sitting, Public Radio of Armenia reported.

The Action Plan stipulates for “the parties to finalize the visa facilitation process, lifting visa requirements for United States, and allowing provision of multi-visas to citizens of Armenia for the period of ten years.”

The Minister said that starting January 1, many Armenian citizens will have an opportunity to get a U.S. visa effective for ten years.

The decision aims to liberalize the visa regime with the United States to contribute to the growth of the number of U.S. tourists visiting Armenia as well as facilitate the process of granting U.S. visas to citizens of Armenia.
