PanARMENIAN.Net - A dizzying trailer for "The Walk" starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt was debuted on Dec 9. The trailer for the movie directed by Robert Zemeckis ("Forrest Gump", "Cast Away") sees the actor running to the top of a skyscraper, walking to the edge, balancing himself on a slim beam and striking a pose. The view of Manhattan can be seen under his feet, AceShowbiz said.

"The Walk" tells the story of a French aerialist Philippe Petit, played by Gordon-Levitt, who successfully snuck into the Twin Towers of World Trade Center in New York with his collaborators and put a cable between the buildings so that he could walk on it in the 70s. It is adapted from Petit's 2002 "To Reach the Clouds".

It will not be the first adaptation from the book. Previously, "Man on Wire" which was directed by James Marsh ("The Theory of Everything") won Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2008.

In addition to Gordon-Levitt, the movie stars Ben Kingsley as his mentor. Charlotte Le Bon, James Badge Dale and Ben Schwartz are also among the cast. It set to arrive in U.S. theaters on October 2.
