Imagine Dragons announce "Smoke + Mirrors" album (video) December 17, 2014 - 11:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Imagine Dragons' new album has an official title and release date. On Tuesday, December 16, the Las Vegas rock band announced that they'd release their sophomore effort, "Smoke + Mirrors", on February 17, 2015 via KIDinaKORNER and Interscope, AceShowbiz said. The album, serving as the follow-up to 2012's Grammy-winning "Night Visions", was written and produced by the Las Vegas band with the help from Alex Da Kid in their self-built home studio. It will feature 13 new tracks including lead single "I Bet My Life" and the newly-released "Gold". Both songs are available for free download for fans who pre-order the album on iTunes now. " 'Gold' is one of the last songs written for this album," frontman Dan Reynolds told Billboard. "I came home from tour with my head spinning and decided to run away for a bit to the west coast and reflect/write about the last couple years. If you listen closely to the sample of me whistling into my laptop by the ocean, you can hear a wave that crashed while I was recording it. I loved the take because it seemed to crash perfectly in time. It takes me back to that spot every time I hear the song."
