First look at Tom Hanks in Steven Spielberg's Cold War thriller

PanARMENIAN.Net - The first photo from Guillermo del Toro-directed movie "Crimson Peak" has landed online, AceShowbiz said.

Arriving on Thursday, December 19, the image gives the first look at Jessica Chastain wearing a gothic dress while posing on stairs. "Anyone afraid of ghosts? #CrimsonPeak #GuillermoDelToro #LadyLucilleSharpe #october," she captioned the photo she shared on Instagram.

"Crimson Peak" is a horror thriller which focuses on an aspiring author, played by Mia Wasikowska, who goes to a mysterious old house "that breathes, bleeds... and remembers" as she tries to escape a tragedy. del Toro worked on the script with Matthew Robbins ("Don't Be Afraid of the Dark") in addition to serving behind the lens. Also starring Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Hunnam, it is set to haunt U.S. theaters on October 16.

Another project, formerly known as "St. James Place", also shared its first look on Thursday. Arriving via EW, the first photo of Tom Hanks in Steven Spielberg's currently-untitled cold war thriller sees the actor standing in the middle of the streets covered by snow. Hanks is bundled in a thick black coat as he braves the weather.

Set to hit U.S. theaters on October 16, the historical film centers on a real-life attorney named James Donovan working for the CIA (Hanks) who is negotiating the release of Francis Gary Powers, a pilot whose U-2 spy plane was shot down on Russia's airspace in 1960. Based on a screenplay by Joel and Ethan Coen, it also stars Alan Alda, Amy Ryan and Mark Rylance.
