The footage doesn't give much away, but the inclusion of a child with a lollipop and a woman accessing floor five in a lift suggests that we're in store for an Android 5.0 Lollipop-related announcement. It could be anything from the rollout date for the latest Google operating system on Xperia hardware, to the launch of an Android-based television set. It has also been speculated that Sony could offer a first look at its Xperia Z4 smartphone at the event, although a recent leak suggests that the handset will not arrive until May at the earliest. Other cryptic imagery on show in the teaser includes a chameleon, a time-lapse of the Paris skyline and a pregnant woman. CES 2015 takes place in Las Vegas between January 6 and January 9.
