Harris, who is hosting the 2015 Academy Awards ceremony, appears in a new promo for the telecast. In the clip, the Gone Girl actor tries to convince viewers to spread the word about the Oscars at their holiday gatherings. "Instead of traditional presents, give [people] the gift of simply telling them to watch me host the Oscars," Harris says. The Oscars telecast airs on ABC on Feb. 22, 2015.
