NBC rolls out promo for Jesus Christ-themed miniseries "A.D." (video) December 26, 2014 - 12:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Just in time for Christmas, NBC dropped a new promo for its upcoming Jesus Christ-themed miniseries "A.D.". Taking the center stage in the video is Peter (Adam Levy), whom Jesus (Juan Pablo di Pace) chose to lead his disciples after his death, AceShowbiz said. Set to for KING & COUNTRY's "By Our Love", the footage shows the disciples lifting the spirits of each other, Peter making miracles and teaching people. "Jesus has risen," John (Babou Ceesay) says as Jesus makes appearance in front of Mother Mary (Greta Scacchi) and Peter. Serving as the follow-up to History Channel's hit original series "The Bible", "A.D." will look at the lives that were instantly altered following the death of Christ. It will focus on the disciples who had to go forward and disseminate the teachings of Christ to a world dominated by political unrest, starting a whole new religion that would dramatically reshape the history of the world.
