HP rolls out miniature Windows PC at CES 2015January 5, 2015 - 21:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - HP has launched a pair of miniature Windows PCs at CES 2015 in the form of the Stream Mini and Pavilion Mini, Digital Spy reports. The machines are touted as inexpensive alternatives to Apple's Mac Mini and competitors to Chromebox computers from rival manufacturers. The plastic-bodied Stream Mini is powered by a modest Intel Celeron processor and 2GB of RAM, while the higher-end Pavilion runs off a Pentium chipset with 4GB of memory. Stream Mini owners are encouraged to store most of their files on OneDrive as the machine provides limited local storage, just 32GB. It comes with 200GB of OneDrive space, free for two years, while the Pavilion Mini offers no complimentary cloud storage due to the inclusion of a 500GB hard drive. Both PCs support dual-monitor setups and use just 45 watts of power for a cool and quiet performance. HP will begin selling the miniature Windows PCs on January 14, with the Stream priced at $180 and the Pavilion at $320.
