Guillermo del Toro’s “Killing on Carnival Row” lands at Amazon

PanARMENIAN.Net - After a decade of being stuck in development purgatory, feature film script “A Killing on Carnival Row” is headed to Amazon as a television series, TheWrap said quoting a company representative.

Legendary Television, which acquired the script for Guillermo del Toro, and Amazon Studios are developing the project as a TV series titled just “Carnival Row.”

“Carnival Row” centers on a Victorian city inhabited by humans, faeries, elves and vampires, and a detective pursuing a serial killer within.

Del Toro is set to co-write the pilot with Travis Beacham and Rene Echevarria, as well as direct it. They’ll all serve as executive producers alongside del Toro’s producing partner Gary Ungar.

Beacham’s script for “A Killing on Carnival Row” sold to New Line and Kopleson Entertainment back in 2005 and was seemingly stuck in development for nearly a decade. Several A-list directors were attached to the script at some point in time, including Neil Jordan and Tarsem Singh.

THR first broke the news of the deal.
