Tesla releases details on Model X, world's first tow-capable electric car

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tesla has released new information about its Model X SUV, confirming that it will be the first electric car capable of towing other vehicles, Digital Spy reports.

The seven-seater vehicle features a dual motor all-wheel drive system, semi-autonomous technology, and 'Falcon Wing' doors.

It will come with three battery options - 60kWh, 85kWh and 85kWh 'Performance' - with Tesla claiming that the latter model boasts an acceleration time of 0-60mph.

This would make it the quickest SUV on the market, and even put in on par with some sports cars.

The Tesla Model X has experienced setbacks during production and is currently around two years behind schedule.

However, this has not affected demand for the vehicle as it is already sold out in the US for 2015.
