Lizard Squad claims responsibility for Facebook, Instagram outage

PanARMENIAN.Net - Facebook and Instagram have come back online after an outage that lasted around an hour, Digital Spy reports.

Hacker group Lizard Squad has claimed responsibility for the attack, which also took down other social media sites.

Tinder, AIM, Hipchat and Myspace also went offline.

Lizard Squad have since threatened further attacks on Twitter - which remained online during the outage - saying: "More to come soon. Side note: We're still organising the @MAS email dump, stay tuned for that."

The microblogging site was flooded with social media users asking about the downtime, which sent the subject into trending.

All services are now thought to be completely restored.
