Fall Out Boy call new “American Psycho” album ‘throwback from future’February 2, 2015 - 13:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Fall Out Boy have referred to their new album a "throwback from the future," Gigwise reveals. The band released their latest LP, 'American Beauty/American Psycho' earlier this month, landing a high new entry on the official UK Album Chart. Speaking to Rolling Stone about their music, bass player and songwriter Pete Wentz said that a tweet sent by journalist Brian Hiatt ignited inspiration for the band: "He said that modern rock music isn't modern. That was a big inspiration for when we were talking with this French DJ sebastiAn about creating something that was like a throwback, but from the future. He added: "It's like modern rock of the future. I'm not sure that's even what it is, but it is something strange." Singer Patrick Stump also addressed claims that rock music is over in the interview saying: "The whole 'rock is dead' thing is so silly to me. All it is is the passage of time. Rock is still very vibrant and alive as long as you're looking for the vibe." Top stories The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest.
