As AceShowbiz reports citing THR, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston, Robert Duvall, Vincent D'Onofrio, Selena Gomez and Danny McBride are among the cast members in the movie which Franco directs and stars in. Franco and Gomez previously worked together in "Spring Breakers". The "I Am Michael" star collaborated with McBride in 2013's "This Is the End" and 2011's "Your Highness". "In Dubious Battle", published in 1936, tells the story of a man who organizes a strike by fruit pickers in Southern California in the 1930s. Matt Rager ("As I Lay Dying") adapted the novel for the screenplay. Filming will start in March. Franco is already familiar with Steinback's works. Previously, he made his Broadway debut with Broadway revival of Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men".
