First look at Sandra Bullock's character Scarlet Overkill in

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new image from "Minions" has been released, introducing Sandra Bullock's character Scarlet Overkill. Arriving online via USA Today on Sunday, February 1, the photo sees the villainous character in the "Despicable Me" spin-off sporting sleek black hair and wearing a red strapless dress, AceShowbiz reports.

Another photo sees the character wearing the same dress, complete with a pair of shades. With a wicked smile on her face, she sits in what appears to be a plane's cabin with Kevin, Stuart and Bob.

Speaking to the news outlet, director Pierre Coffin, who serves behind the lens alongside Kyle Balda, described Bullock's character. "Scarlet is an unusual supervillain. She is a dangerously charming woman, which could not have been easy in the late 1960s," he shared.

Although she voices a villain in the family-friendly film, Bullock can't help showing her charm. "This is a side to Sandra Bullock we haven't seen before. She is really enjoying playing with this villainy. But underneath there's a character you cannot help but fall in love with," producer Chris Meledandri gushed.

"Minions" tells the story of the three adorable characters as they try to find a new master to serve. Jon Hamm voices Scarlet Overkill's husband, Herb Overkill. Also featuring the voice of Steve Carell, the movie hits U.S. theaters on July 10.
