The company told reporters during a press briefing that it is targeting the mid-to-high-end markets with its new products, Digital Spy reveals citing Pocket-lint.

Journalists were shown a presentation slide depicting a round-faced watch, suggesting Huawei is readying a challenger to the Moto 360 and LG G Watch R.

Previous reports indicate that Huawei intends to support Google's Android Wear operating system, and its debut smartwatch could be the first device to do so.

Furthermore, the Chinese firm is said to be working on a smartband to support the launch of its "new fitness platform".

Huawei also shed light on its future smartphone plans, confirming that it has no intention of launching Windows Phone or stock Android handsets.
