Foo Fighters' Nate Mendel reveals details of 1st solo album

PanARMENIAN.Net - Foo Fighters' Nate Mendel has announced details of his first solo album, If I Kill This Thing We're All Going To Eat For A Week, under the moniker Lieutenant, Gigwise reports.

Mendel, who is best known as the bassist for Foo Fighters, and was also a member of Sunny Day Real Estate and The Fire Theft, is now stepping into a new role as a songwriter and frontman.

The album was recorded with The Shins drummer Joe Plummer, and features guest musicians such as Helmet's Page Hamilton, Head and the Heart's Josiah Johnson and Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett.

Mendel recently made his live debut as Lieutenant during a series of warm up shows in California. If I Kill This Thing, We're All Going To Eat For A Week is set for release on 2 March, 2015.
