Rumours website SamMobile claims to have heard from an inside source that the slate will undercut its rival's 6.1mm proportions. The report also claims that the next-generation tablet will be offered in smaller size options - 8.0-inch and 9.7-inch, compared to its 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch predecessors. Samsung is rumoured to be shunning widescreen ratios with its 2015 tablet lineup, instead favouring the 4:3 screen format. Purported design changes were also divulged, with the Galaxy Tab S2 said to sport a metal trim around the edges like some of the latest Galaxy phones.
