Google Glass 2 prototype models “already in circulation”February 23, 2015 - 14:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Google Glass 2 prototype models are already in circulation, according to a report. The tech giant brought its Explorer programme to a close last month, but is showcasing the next iteration of the headset to select partners, Gigwise reports citing 9to5Google. The report does not divulge details about the design of the new Google Glass, with the product expected to return to the drawing board for an overhaul. Nest chief Tony Fadell has been charged with overseeing the future of the headset, working alongside designer Ivy Ross, following a management reshuffle. Fadell has been keen to demonstrate Google's commitment to the project, announcing the creation of a refreshed Glass at Work programme, which tasks startups will creating software for the device. Competition in the headset market is beginning to heat up, with Samsung, Sony, LG and Panasonic all working on similar products.
