Will Ferrell to topline “The House” comedy from “Neighbors” scribes

PanARMENIAN.Net - New Line has picked up comedy “The House,” from “Neighbors” writing duo Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, as a starring vehicle for Will Ferrell, TheWrap reports.

The story centers on a married couple who lose their daughter’s college fund and team up with their neighbors to set up an illegal casino in their basement to earn it back.

Ferrell and Adam Mckay are producing via their Gary Sanchez banner along with Good Universe. Jessica Elbaum and Chris Henchy will serve as executive producers.

Cohen will make his directorial debut on the film.

Ferrell is next seen in “Get Hard” opposite Kevin Hart.
