iA Writer text editor makes debut on Android devices February 27, 2015 - 10:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - iA Writer, a minimalist text editor that has been available on Apple hardware since 2010, has made its long-awaited debut on Android, Digital Spy reports. The tablet and smartphone app is designed to be user-friendly and simplistic, with just one font choice and virtually no menus to trawl. Developer Information Architects revealed that the Android edition of iA Writer has undergone a tricky development cycle spanning the last three years. "The iOS people never stopped laughing at the growing stack of test devices in all colours and shapes hogging our developer's desk," said the team in a blog post. "We did hit a few bumps further down the road. Still, Android has come a long way from the unsightly UX and low quality device mess it was just three years ago." iA Writer is available to purchase on Google Play.
