Spotify desktop update adds song lyrics February 27, 2015 - 13:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Spotify has integrated the MusixMatch app into its desktop platform, allowing users to call up song lyrics at the push of a button, according to Digital Spy. The music streaming service is gradually phasing out third-party apps in favour of backing the features they bring into its core service. The latest update also includes an improved Friend Feed that separates the song, artist and album the individual is listening to, allowing users to select either one. Charts now include additional data, such as a regional-based count and counters measuring how well they have performed on a daily basis. "Following in the footsteps of previous successful app integrations such as Songkick, we're thrilled to bring desktop listeners such a sought-after feature as lyrics," said Spotify director of product David Price.
