Looking for Alaska is the latest John Green novel to be adapted for the big screen.

Screenwriters Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber are adapting the script from Green's debut novel.

They also adapted the scripts for The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns, which is released this summer.

The author announced the news on Twitter, telling followers that he had "very, very good news".

Looking for Alaska follows a teen who goes to boarding school for his junior year. While there, he meets a enigmatic student named Alaska and begins to fall for her.

The screenwriting duo are also penning big screen adaptations of several other young adult novels, including Me Before You and Where'd You Go, Bernadette.
