The studio is planning to shoot it in New Zealand later this spring with Michael Dougherty on hand directing from a script he wrote alongside Todd Casey and Zach Shields. Release date has not yet been set. "Krampus", a Christmas-themed horror feature, tells the story of "a family that comes under attack from a Santa Claus-like ancient entity who punishes bad kids", The Hollywood Reporter reports. Scott is set to portray the father, "a workaholic and rather absent dad who has to step up for his family." As for Collette, she will be playing the wife who "pretends everything is perfect with her family via her elaborate meals but will also have to dig deep to protect her family." In addition to Scott and Collette, it has been confirmed that Allison Tolman and Emjay Anthony are on board starring in the film.
