Blackberry celebrates 100 million BBM downloads on Google PlayMarch 6, 2015 - 18:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Blackberry has revealed that BBM has hit the 100m download mark on Google Play, according to Digital Spy. The messaging app made the move to Android and other rival platforms almost a year and a half ago. "100 million is great, but a billion is even better," the company said in a blog post. "BBM users have now sent more than 1 billion stickers. And we are achieving 1 billion virtual goods impressions in the BBM Shop monthly." However, as The Verge points out, Blackberry has not disclosed how many active users are on the platform, which would determine BBM's actual success and value. Despite achieving the same number, Samsung announced last year that it would be closing its ChatON messaging app due to lack of interest.
