PanARMENIAN.Net - Prince's "Hit & Run" tour is coming to the U.S. The iconic singer announced on Friday, March 6 that he and his backing band 3RDEYEGIRL would make their first stop on March 14 in Louisville, KY. A venue has yet to be revealed. More dates are expected to be added in the near future, Gigwise reports.

Prince chose Louisville as the first city to honor 3RDEYEGIRL's drummer Hannah Welton. Tickets for the show go on sale on Monday, March 9 at 10:00 A.M. EST via Live Nation. A portion of proceeds from the concert will benefit various local charities.

"Hit & Run" tour was first launched last year in the U.K. The "Purple Rain" hitmaker and his band would announce the shows and the venues via Twitter at the last minute.

Also in 2014, Prince and the girls released their collaborative album called "PLECTRUMELECTRUM". The 56-year-old superstar additionally put out his solo effort "ART OFFICIAL AGE" on the same day. Both titles debuted within the top 10 of Billboard 200.
