Tim Burton to helm Disney’s live-action

PanARMENIAN.Net - Disney has found a director for their upcoming live-action "Dumbo" movie. Tim Burton is tapped for the job, and "Transformers" writer Ehren Kruger is hired to pen the screenplay based on the iconic 1941 animated film and add a unique family story that parallels Dumbo's journey, AceShowbiz said.

"Dumbo" tells the story of a little circus elephant who is ridiculed for his large ears and his only true friend is a mouse. It becomes the latest classic tale that the Mouse House gives a live-action treatment following the likes of "Alice in Wonderland", "Maleficent", and "Cinderella".

After releasing "Big Eyes" last year, Tim Burton is working on "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" and "Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass" for planned 2016 releases. He is also developing "Beetlejuice 2".
