Second-gen model of Chromebook Pixel laptop announcedMarch 13, 2015 - 11:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Google has announced a second-generation model of its Chromebook Pixel laptop, Digital Spy reports. The high-end machine is touted as a competitor to Apple's latest MacBook, supporting the same USB Type C connectors and competitive specs. The new Chromebook Pixel is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB RAM, and includes a high-resolution touchscreen and glass trackpad. Sporting a premium aluminium body, the laptop also comes with a wide-angle camera lens, 12 hours of battery life and a 32GB SSD. While the MacBook offers a single 29W USB-C, the new Chromebook Pixel includes dual 60W USB-C ports to allow users to connect two cables at once. The standard edition of the machine is listed as 'coming soon' on Google's online store with a price tag of $1188. A model with higher specs, including an Intel i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 64GB SSD, is listed at $1485.
