“Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck” doc added to Tribeca Film Fest lineup

PanARMENIAN.Net - The 2015 Tribeca Film Festival has lined up a string of public one-on-one conversations featuring names including Christopher Nolan with Bennett Miller, Cary Fukunaga with James Schamus and George Lucas with Stephen Colbert, as well as added screenings of two world premiere documentaries plus the U.S. bow of grunge rocker doc “Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck”, Variety reports.

The work of Nolan, Fukunaga and Lucas — as well as Brad Bird (who’ll talk with Janeane Garofalo) — will be the subjects of events in the directors series of Tribeca Talks. Other panels in the Talks programming will include a conversation with Harvey Weinstein and a discussion about power and information leaks, featuring Valerie Plame and documentary filmmaker Alex Gibney.

For the After the Movie segment of Tribeca Talks, the festival will screen advance episodes of “Inside Amy Schumer” (for a conversation with Schumer and other members of the show’s team) and Netflix series “Chef’s Table,” as well as the world premiere of “The Diplomat,” director David Holbrooke’s documentary about Ambassador Richard Holbrooke. “Montage of Heck,” which premiered at Berlin earlier this year, will screen before a talk with director Brett Morgen and Courtney Love.

The other world premiere joining the Tribeca lineup is “CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap,” Robin Hauser Reynolds’ look at the gender gap in the tech industry, to screen prior to a talk with Reynolds and tech industry figures.

Talks will take place at a number of the festival’s venues around town, including the new hub Spring Studios. The 2015 Tribeca Film Festival runs April 15-26.
