Joseph Gordon-Levitt to produce, star in “Fraggle Rock” movieMarch 20, 2015 - 09:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Having had a bunch of films productions to be completed, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has added one more project to his resume, the live-action "Fraggle Rock" movie. Not only he will be starring in the film, but also taking on the producer task, AceShowbiz reports. Speaking of his involvement in the upcoming feature, Gordon-Levitt told Variety, "The first screen personas I ever loved were Henson creations, first on 'Sesame Street', and then on 'Fraggle Rock'." The actor went on adding, "Jim Henson's characters make you laugh and sing, but they're also layered, surprising, and wise. From Oscar the Grouch, to Yoda, to the Fraggles. I've never stopped loving his work, even as a young frisky man, and on into adulthood. Collaborating with Lisa Henson makes me confident we can do something that Jim would have loved. I'm grateful and excited to be working with New Regency on this project." "Fraggle Rock" is a big-screen adaptation of the musical puppet series created by the late Jim Henson which debuted on TV back in 1983. The original series revolved its story on "the adventures of cave-dwelling creatures called Fraggles who have to deal with the industrious Doozers and furry giants called Gorgs." Talks of adapting it into big screen feature had been on since 2011 by New Regency. Details of the upcoming Gordon-Levitt project have not yet been shared.
