Orion Releasing nabs SXSW Film Fest 2014 winner “Fort Tilden”March 20, 2015 - 11:25 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Orion Releasing has picked up U.S. and Latin America distribution rights to SXSW’s 2014 Grand Jury Prize winner for Best Narrative Film “Fort Tilden”, according to TheWrap. Written and directed by Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers, the day-in-the-life comedy follows two slacker Brooklynites (played by Bridey Elliott and Clare McNulty) experiencing mishap after mishap on a journey to the beach. The film will be released theatrically and on VOD in August 2015. “Fort Tilden” was produced by Mollye Asher and Geoff Mansfield and executive producers Ariana Ciri Bernstein and Zach Gerbarg. Josh Braun from Submarine negotiated the deal with Orion on behalf of the filmmakers. Bliss & Rogers are represented by ICM Partners and Mosaic.
