Metallica offer free download of hit-packed private concert

PanARMENIAN.Net - Metallica have offered a free download of a hit-packed private concert, Gigwise reports. . Perfformed for Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff, the show, which is jammed full of hits, including 'Sad But True', 'Nothing Else Matters', 'Enter Sandman' and so on, is available for download through LiveMettalica.com.

It is one in a long line of downloads due, following the band's pledge to make all live concerts available to the fans.

On 18 April, Metallica will kick off the reissue project, which will begin with a cassette release of 1982 demo tape No Life 'Til Leather. "It's time for us to put out some next-level reissues and do the song and dance of the catalog that everyone else has done," drummer Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone.

Meanwhile the wait for new material is nearly over, with Ulrich telling the magazine "We've got lots of songs, and we're honing them and tweaking them. It's pretty close."
