Apple Watch walk-in purchases unavailable at launchMarch 30, 2015 - 20:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple has reportedly told its retail staff that customers will only be able to buy an Apple Watch at launch by booking an appointment online, Digital Spy reports. Walk-in purchases will not be available when the wearable is released on April 24, according to an internal memo obtained by MacRumours. Shoppers apparently have to make an online "product reservation" to ensure that the model they wish to purchase is held at their local Apple Store. "If a customer walks in and wants to purchase a watch, offer the option to try on a watch. Then help them place an order online or through the Apple Store app," reads the document. Apple is not expected to begin selling the device to walk-in shoppers until demand has died down. The Apple Watch will be available to pre-order and try on by appointment from April 10, with orders shipping on April 24.
