PanARMENIAN.Net - Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp will release Samuel L. Jackson’s “Big Game” on June 26, 2015, in the U.S., Variety reports.

Jalmari Helander directed from his script, based on a short story he wrote with Petri Jokiranta. Jokiranta, Will Clarke, Andy Mayson and Jens Meurer produced the film.

Jackson portrays the President of the United States in a story set in Finland, where a 13 year old (Onni Tommila) embarks on a traditional quest to prove himself by spending 24 hours alone in the wild. After witnessing a spectacular crash, he discovers the escape pod from Air Force One containing the President — and the two then realize that a group of kidnappers is hot on their trail.

The film also stars Ray Stevenson, Victor Garber, Felicity Huffman and Jim Broadbent.

It’s the first U.S. release distributed by EuropaCorp, which also announced that it moved the release of “The Transporter Refueled” back two and a half months from June 19 to Sept. 4.
