Nikon refreshes J5 compact system camera

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nikon has refreshed its entry-level compact system camera with the launch of the Nikon 1 J5, Digital Spy reports.

The snapper improves on last year's model with the addition of 4K video recording capabilities and an upgraded CMOS sensor.

The Nikon 1 J5 is a 20.8-megapixel offering that is powered by the camera giant's latest image processor.

It also includes a 3-inch tiltable touchscreen monitor that flips back on itself to help users capture selfies.

Video can be shot in either 4K at 15fps or 1080p at 60fps, while HD footage can be filmed in extreme slow-motion, at 120fps.

Photographs can be snapped at 20 frames per second with continuous autofocus, or 60fps fixed, and all captured media can be shared thanks to WiFi and NFC support.

The Nikon 1 J5 will be available in either silver and white, silver and black or stark black colour options from 30 April.

Prices will start at £350, with customers able to purchase the camera with a range of different lens configurations for extra.
