LG details its next flagship smartphone screenApril 3, 2015 - 13:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Weeks before the unveiling of its next flagship smartphone, LG has detailed the device's screen, which the company claims makes a "quantum jump" in terms of brightness, color gamut and contrast ratio, Mashable reports. The 5.5-inch IPS display has a QHD (2,560x1,440 pixel) resolution, and offers a 120 percent color gamut, as well as a 50 percent increase in contrast and a 30-percent increase in brightness compared to "conventional QHD LCD" panels. According to LG, all of this has been achieved without any increase in power consumption. For users, this means brighter and more accurate colors, deeper blacks, and, in general, better picture quality in bright conditions. Another important feature of the new display is AIT or Advanced In-Cell Touch technology, which offers increased touch sensitivity and works even when you have water drops on the screen. LG says the new screen is already being mass produced. Top stories Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
