Galaxy S6 Edge as bendable as iPhone 6 Plus: test (video) April 6, 2015 - 13:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge bends under the same weight as Apple's iPhone 6 Plus, a stress test has suggested, according to Digital Spy. Last September, Apple came under fire in the so-called #BendGate scandal, after it emerged that some devices could bend in users' pockets. Gadget warranty firm SquareTrade has now run tests on Samsung's latest flagship, indicating that bends aren't just limited to Apple. According to their findings, the S6 Edge started to bend once its BendBot machine reached 110lbs - the same weight it took the iPhone 6 Plus to arc. By 149lbs, the S6 Edge suffered "catastrophic failure", causing the cover glass to crack and the phone to fall apart. However, the iPhone 6 Plus didn't come undone until 179lbs. The HTC One M9 also underwent the same test and bent under 120lbs of pressure. Samsung and HTC were among those to mock the iPhone 6's bend problems last year.
