PanARMENIAN.Net - Shortly after releasing "American Oxygen" on Tidal, Rihanna released the official music video for the song. Arriving on Monday, April 6 also via Jay-Z's newly-launched music streaming service, the visuals features clips highlighting some of the country's historical events, AceShowbiz reports.

The scenes of RiRi performing in front of a huge American flag intersperse with ones showing Barack Obama's presidential inauguration, Martin Luther King Jr.'s funeral, the September 11 tragedy and even The Beatles' arrival to the U.S. among others.

Following up "FourFiveSeconds" and "B**ch Better Have My Money", "American Oxygen" was first debuted live by Rihanna during her performance at the the March Madness Music Festival over the weekend in Indianapolis.

The powerful ballad is the third song to have surfaced from the Bajan beauty's upcoming eighth studio album, which she's been referring to as "R8". The Kanye West-executive produced project is due out later this year.
