Facebook unveils new feature aimed at parents, Scrapbook

PanARMENIAN.Net - Facebook has launched a new feature aimed at parents called 'Scrapbook', Digital Spy reports.

The service automatically compiles images of the user's children into a customisable scrapbook that is viewable to friends of both the mother and father.

The social network added the feature after noticing that parents were struggling to keep track of the family photos they have uploaded, with some resorting to tagging their partner in baby pictures to keep tabs on them.

"If you choose to tag your child in a photo it will be added to a customisable scrapbook. And, photos you choose to tag can be shared with your friends and your partner's friends," said Facebook in a statement.

'Scrapbook' is currently unavailable to step-parents, while divorcees have the option to compile separate family albums, according to Forbes.

The service began rolling out to iPhone, Android and web users in the US at the end of last month.
