Samsung patents phone-bracelet hybridApril 9, 2015 - 10:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung is exploring the possibility of developing an ultra-flexible smartphone that doubles as a wearable device, Digital Spy reveals. A patent application unearthed by Patently Mobile appears to indicate that the firm has plans for a phone-bracelet hybrid product. The gadget consists of a foldable OLED display divided into segments to give it extra flexibility, allowing users to wear it on their wrist or store it in their pocket. The document states that the hybrid device includes a rotating display that moves with the user's arm, and has a transparent protection panel to shield it from scratches. An accompanying diagram suggests that the device may be too bulky to wear on a regular basis, but the final product could arrive on the market slimmed down. Samsung is yet to announce plans to make the device a reality. Photo: Samsung Top stories Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
