Pink to receive BMI President's Award for Songwriting

PanARMENIAN.Net - Pink will receive the BMI President's Award for Songwriting, Digital Spy reports.

The award recognises "outstanding achievement in songwriting and global impact on pop culture and the entertainment industry".

The 'Just Give Me a Reason' singer joins previous winners including Taylor Swift, Adam Levine, Pitbull and Willie Nelson.

"Pink is an extraordinary songwriter whose mastery of craft and passionate artistry has transformed a generation of Pop and Rock music culture around the world," said BMI Vice President Barbara Cane.

"She has captivated music lovers with her unforgettable, emotional and edgy magnificence of song, voice and performance."

Pink collaborated with writers including Nate Ruess, Emile Haynie and Greg Kurstin for her last album The Truth About Love.
