Google rolling out Trusted Voice unlock feature to Android users

PanARMENIAN.Net - Google is apparently rolling out its Trusted Voice unlock feature to Android users.

The update, which allows users to unlock their device by uttering "OK Google", has already arrived on some tablets and smartphones, Digital Spy reports citing Android Police.

Those who have already received the feature will be able to activate it under the 'Smart Lock' settings menu.

Google has warned users that locking down their device using the vocal method is not as secure as alternatives, such as fingerprint recognition and traditional PIN entry.

Android users also have the option to unlock their tablet or phone using a facial-recognition technology call 'Smart Face', but this is also considered less secure than traditional methods.

The latest update is expected to come to some users before others, depending on their location and network provider.
