"Mad Max: Fury Road" trailer recounts Mel Gibson’s warrior history

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Mad Max: Fury Road" has released its new "Legacy" trailer. Arriving online on Wednesday, April 15, the clip offers a potted history of the franchise, integrated clips from three "Mad Max" original films starring Mel Gibson, 1979's "Mad Max", 1981's "Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior" and 1985's "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome", AceShowbiz reports.

After the captions accompanied the trailer which read "All the power... All the chaos... All the madness... Has led to now..." are shown, the last 30 seconds of the trailer shows more of the plot focusing on Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and the bad guys.

The movie's director George Miller tells Entertainment Weekly, "I wanted to tell a linear story-a chase that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes." The movie will have less dialogue and few digital effects. "In this crucible of very intense action, the characters are revealed," George adds.

According to the site, to create his new apocalypse, George had to "stare down four horsemen of his own: 9/11, global warming, searing African deserts, and, of course, a plague of Internet rumors."

"Mad Max: Fury Road", which also stars Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Riley Keough and Zoe Kravitz, is set to hit theaters in the U.S. on May 15.
