Huawei rolls out flagship device Ascend P8 at London eventApril 16, 2015 - 12:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has unveiled its newest flagship at an event in London on April 16, Digital Spy reports. The Ascend P8, following on from the P7, offers top-end specifications for a wallet-friendly price. The device measures just 6.4mm thick and comes with a full HD 5.2-inch screen. It's powered by an octa-core 64-bit Kirin 930 processor and 3GB RAM. The smartphone will come running Android 5.0 Lollipop and contains 16GB on-board storage, which is expandable via MicroSD. Despite being so thin, Huawei managed to pack in 4G, a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The device comes in Mystic Champagne, Titanium Grey, Gold and Carbon Black. There are two models available, either standard or premium, costing $533 and $637 respectively. Along with the 5.2-inch model, Huawei also announced the larger Ascend P8 Max. The phablet-sized device boasts a gigantic 6.8-inch screen and a quoted two-and-a-half-day battery life. The Huawei Ascend P8 Max will cost around $150 more than the standard device.
