Samsung admits it misjudged level of demand for Galaxy S6April 18, 2015 - 10:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung has admitted that it misjudged the level of demand for its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones, Digital Spy said. The South Korean firm said that the handsets are sold out at a number of stores worldwide due to "much higher" demand than it anticipated. "Although there may be some difficulties for the short term, we will do our utmost to secure enough supply for our global consumers," a Samsung spokesperson told Reuters. Samsung previously admitted that the S6 Edge may be hampered by stock shortages due to low production yields of the handset's curved display. Sales estimates suggest that the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are on course to shift 10 million units by early next month. Both devices were released on April 10, but many retailers currently have a backlog of orders to shift.
