Arnaud Desplechin’s “My Golden Days” to screen at Cannes

PanARMENIAN.Net - Arnaud Desplechin’s latest film, “My Golden Days”, will screen at the Director’s Fortnight in Cannes next month, organizers of the annual event independent of the Cannes Film Festival announced on Friday, April 17, according to TheWrap.

The coming-of-age drama starring Quentin Dolmaire, Lou Roy-Lecollinet and Mathieu Amalric is the second film in the Director’s Fortnight lineup to be revealed, following Thursday’s announcement that Philippe Garrel’s “In the Shadow of Women” will kick off the non-competitive program that caters to non-professional audiences at Cannes.

Société des Réalisateurs de Films will announce the rest of the lineup on April 21.

The film artistic director Édouard Waintrop summed up as a “glowing quest for time and lost loves” will screen on May 15.

Desplechin (“A Christmas Tale,” “Jimmy P”) co-wrote the film Julie Peyr, while Oury Milshtein and Tatiana Bouchain produced it.

“With pride and enthusiasm, we are thrilled to announce the presentation of ‘My Golden Days,’ the last feature directed by Arnaud Desplechin, maybe his best and most moving film,” Waintrop said. “Mathieu Amalric and the young Quentin Dolmaire and Lou Roy-Lecollinet delight us with their excruciating and glowing quest for time and lost loves. “
