Office universal apps debut this monthApril 20, 2015 - 17:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Microsoft has announced that it will launch early versions of its universal Office apps for desktop and mobile devices this month, according to Digital Spy. The cross-platform services will be added to the mobile phone version of Windows 10 Technical Preview for Windows Insider members to sample ahead of release. Office universal apps for Windows 10 phones include editions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint that are optimised for a wide range of display sizes. The touch-optimised applications will come pre-installed on any handset running the next-generation operating system. Microsoft offered a first look at its universal Office apps in February when it rolled out versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint that are compatible with tablets and PCs. Windows 10's first consumer build will be released in the summer for personal computers, tablets, mobile phones and Xbox consoles.
