The seventh "Fast and Furious" movie is holding on to the pole position with an estimated $18.3 million, pushing its national total to $320 million. It becomes the first film since 2012's "The Hunger Games" to rule the domestic chart for the fourth consecutive weekend, AceShowbiz reports. In the foreign market, the Universal action movie adds $69.7M for an overseas total of $1 billion, making it the third film in history to cross the milestone internationally after "Avatar" ($2.027B) and "Titanic" ($1.528B). In China alone, it rakes in $323 million, besting "Transformers: Age of Extinction" to become the highest-grossing film in the country. The sequel to "Fast and Furious 6" collects $1.32 billion in global earning, climbing from No. 7 to No. 5 in the seventh highest-grossing movies of all time. It crosses past "Frozen (2013)" ($1.27 billion) and ranks right behind "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" which made $1.34 billion worldwide. "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" continues to trail behind the box office giant, sitting at the second place for the second week in a row. It adds $15.5 million, bringing its total to nearly $44 million. "The Age of Adaline" starring Blake Lively rounds up the top 3 in its opening weekend with an estimated $13.4 million, "Ex Machina (2015)" jumps from No. 15 to No. 6 with $5.4 million.
